Meet Infraspeak’s New Location Awareness App



The new Location Awareness app is where you can track the current or latest reported location of all users, allowing you to have better insights about your operation and assign tasks more efficiently.


You can add as many location tracking maps as you want (you can even segment them for different groups of users) to your Dashboard, see where your technicians are at any time, and know whether they’re available and which tasks they have at hand.


Let’s see how.


How do you install this widget?


First of all, you’ll need to have our recently introduced Dashboard App installed and to activate Location Awareness in Infraspeak’s app menu.

After you’ve done this, you’ll be able to add the tracking map to your Dashboard by clicking on “Add Widget”, as you would for any other type of widget.



Give your widget a descriptive name and that’s it – it will now show up on your Dashboard!


Changing the widget’s settings

By accessing the widget’s settings (through the Dashboard), there’s quite a few things that you can adjust:

  • Name of the widget
  • Width
  • Updating frequency
  • Which technicians to show on the map



The users shown on the map can be filtered by a number of different criteria:


  • Hide unavailable users (those with tasks at hand) — If you choose to show them, unavailable technicians will be marked with a red circle, while available ones will be marked with a green one;
  • Hide offline users — Offline users are shown in the map by their last-reported location;
  • Show only technicians — This will hide manager and administrator accounts;
  • Filter by access to client and building;
  • Filter by expertise;
  • Choose specific users.


All these filters will allow you to create separate tracking widgets for different groups of users (different teams, different clients, etc).
